Default BFGoodrich 235/ 45 ZR 17 GForce Vs.

Ok, I have these on my 08GT. BFGoodrich 235/ 45 ZR 17 GForce
Not sure how new they were when I got the car but I have put may 10-11K on them. Wear wise I can say, Hey not too bad.
Grip? I NEED GRIP!
Rear end wants to take off when just slightly "playing". Wet roads, OMG. With all the turn arounds at the main road junctions down here they are killing me.
Tired of it and have to get two patched this week anyhow, (Nails).
I am looking for something that would grip and I am thinking I want to stagger as well. I do like the lower profile these give the car and I normally avoid speed bumps and the humps at the Stripes stores for the gas pumps,, but I'd like to keep it lowered.
Any thoughts gang?
I don't have a problem getting Directional Tires, but I am after grip.

Thanks

Which wheels do you have? We need the width to give reasonable suggestions. If they're 8.5", you can't go much beyond a 255 IIRC.

A lot of folks like some of the Nitto's but IMO, it really depends on how... "spirited"... you drive. The OE tires tend to be garbage for anyone with anything much beyond mild driving habits.

Brushed Alloy. 9.5 outer Dia. guessing that should equate to a 8.5.
I've read some about the Nitto's but what most of what I have seen was Grip for the track. I maybe aggressive at times but I don't treat a red light like a "Christmas Tree"
