Check your junk mail box. I replied to your email twice on this. Yes, I do have both the protecto plate, and the build sheet. I need to get the car out of the warehouse and get some pictures. I'm going to try and do that this week.

You mentioned you had family in Lockport, were you planning on coming to look at the car?

Thanks for the response. I didn't get anything, but I have SpamKiller set to 'kill' junk. I probably have it set too strict. We're in SoCal, but besides cousins in Lockport, have some good gearhead friends in Lemont & so forth (Grew up not too far from there). I know these cars pretty well, so once I see the pics, I can set up a friend to take a look for me. I would like to see them as soon as you can reasonably do so. I'll back the SpamKiller off a bit, but why don't you PM me with your email & I can put it in as a 'Friend' so it's sure to come through. Thanks again.

Really? You should probably read the whole thread. Trust me, you're newer to the high end collector car world than I am.

No problem. You can send anyone to look at the car anytime. Just give me a couple hours for a heads up. Believe me, you won't be disappointed in the car. Believe it or not, the car is in Lemont. So it's nice and convenient for your friend to look at it.

My uncle's friend had serious problems at Barret Jackson.

Apparently, you wait in line for hours, in the desert, so dust is swirling everywhere, going inches every hour to work your way into the main event place. The guy who drove the car in line, because you're not allowed to, parked it and left the ignition switched on or osmething, and ended up burning out the starter.. which was a rare part for the car the guy was selling.. and he had to replace it while waiting in line to get shown.
Also, the guy paid premium to get his car shown during a premium spot, but ended up NOT being shown during prime time.. and Barret Jackson would not refund the money.
Finally, the car, with scratched paint from the sand blasting outside, recently replaced starter, and not being shown at prime time, was sold (to which the guy would have had to pay a huge commission to B-J).. and the buyer, after the show, took a look at the car, and decided he didn't want to buy it afterall.

All in all, my uncle's friend dropped a lot of money transporting the car from Connecticut to Arizona, paid money to put the car into the show, lost a starter, got scratches on his paint, and had to deal with very poor customer service.. for nothing.

I mean, this story was told through my dad, who heard it from my uncle, who heard it from a friend.. so it could be inaccurate, but my uncle, who owns a '67 stingray (which won all kinds of trophies at Carlisle for being 99.9% authentic, down to the nuts and bolts and all) and a 50th anniv. 'vette, would never sell his vehicles through B-J after all the hassle his friend had.

Just a word of warning..

(and by the way, that IS a beautiful car you have there )
