I would like to hear what they sound like without resonators... anybody have a video? I want more loud from my Roush. If removing the resonators causes the cackling on downshifts to go away, nevermind. I would assume it would make the popping louder/more frequent...

are the axleback mufflers your only exhaust mod?
Yes it is the only exhaust mod. They are much louder while the car is cold i agree, but anything over 3500 rpm and it sounds like a bomb going off anything/anyone within 3-4 blocks look back. I have also set off a few car alarms. I like the loudness i just wasn't expecting it to be so loud at low rpms 2k+ is still pretty loud and i am scared some cop is going to pull me over b/c of them. 18 year old with a 5.0 black rims and a loud exhaust.... no cop is going to be forgiving

What in the heck makes people think exhaust systems break-in?
On my 05 when i get the muffler delete the first week every alarm would go off especially in parking lots. After a week or 2 they quieted down still very loud but not enough for the actual alarm to go off just the pre alarm (that beep sound b4 they are about to go off).

I have them on my Stage 1 Roush and love them. If ya keep the RPM's under 3500 around town, no cop will bother you.

Love how they sound like open headers above 4000 RPM's. Crazy good sound. Perfectly quiet on the highway at speed. As good as stock.

By your theory, after 9 months open pipes should be quieter than a factory exhaust.

How about you try to find one better instead of complaining (although I do agree the video isn't the greatest)? LOL.
