Is the fuel pump suppose to prime every time the key is turned? I have been noticing lately that I don't hear it every time...the times I don't hear it, it cranks for about 5 seconds then starts. When I do hear it it starts right away. The fuel pressure is right where it should be also. Any help appreciated!

I wouldn't expect it to intermittently stop like that if it was indeed the pump. Yes it should prime every time. Sounds more electrical related, possibly sticky relay or beginnings of a bad ignition switch perhaps(less likely).

If the pump was going out you might hear a lot more noise.. I'd say electrical

The ignition switch is fairly new. where is the relay located on a 90?
