Default Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Trouble?

In my '02 stock GT that I have had for the past 6 months (has got 69k miles), I have noticed more and more that the front end seems to wander a bit too much.

At first believed it was only that the crappy dealer installed replacement tires (hankook ventus) followed the grooves in the road bad (Missouri roads).

Then I noticed a clicking noise coming from under the front end when quickly turning from straight ahead, so I looked under the front end and discovered:

That the very front lower a-arm bushings seem to be worn out and the lower control arm is moving when I turn the wheel!

I was in an accident a couple months ago and there was some front end damage (although mostly rear), so I don't know if this could have contributed......it just doesn't seem like it would.

My questions are:

Is it common for these bushings to rott and wear by 70k miles?
Any violent wheel movement (like when I was run off the road into the ditch on the highway - the accident I spoke of) tear or break the bushings?
Where can I get aftermarket replacement bushings?
Do they make Polyurethane or Nylon replacements?

Thanks a bunch guys!
Vince

If i were you I would replace both lower control arms. 50resto.com has an up grade you can put on for $159 for both LCA's Or if you want to have the bushing only I'm sure all the sponsors off this site sell bushings.

The following is taken from there site

This kit enables owners of 1994-04 Mustangs to upgrade to 2003 Cobra Mustang control arms. The kit features (2) front lower control arm assemblies with 50% stiffer front bushings and low friction ball joints. This control arm has a redesigned stamping to improve the turning circle approximately 10% on 1994-98 Mustangs.
