Default 95 5.0 mods, Best bang 4 buck

Im looking to liven up the 95 5.0 i have in a project. I have custom 1 5/8ths headers and 2 1/2 exh going to flowmasters. I want more power, I was thinking chip it and some roller rockers for starters. The valve covers look real low so i was wondering if i need specific rockers...Any help is greatly appreciated.

you should definitly go with new gears... they wont add any power but you will see a good increase in acceleration

chip and rockers are both a waste of money on a stock motor. get lower gears for the best bang for the buck. then work on an intake, tb maf and cai.

Start off simple and work your way up. I say get a set of U/D pulleys first, won't free up that much hp, but does help out mpg a little, then get a CAI, it's a decent starter mod, then maybe an inlarged TB and then get a ported upper lower intake kit from elderbrock, or other brands if you really feel like going to the extremems, then do a cam swap at this point, but then you're getting into some money. Instead you could go with a gear swap, probably the #1bang for the buck. After that, it's really up to you what you want to do.

gears. best "seat of the pants" gain. in other words, it will feel like your car has a whole new motor.
