Default Trans for 347 stroker?

Soon, I'm going to start building my 347 stroker.

Sportsman block
Scat crank
Scat rods
Probe pistons
Approx 10.5 to 1 compression with 54cc chamber heads
400+ rwhp

I need to decide on a transmission. Any recommendations for something that could reliably hold 400+ rwhp? This is a street car, by the way.

I was looking at getting a centerforce clutch. Should I get an upgraded Tremec trans for this combo?

Feedback please.

A t5 isn't going to hold up long especially if your able to hook up. A stronger trans would definitly be better. I've heard tremec tko's are hard to shift at high rpms but I have no personal experience with that.

I see your from annapolis, I grew up in that area. I lived in Crofton for 13 years and went to South River High School in edgewater.

G-Force T5. They can hold 650hp. Cost about the same as a Tremec to.

I have a TKO in my car for about 3 years now and i have never had a problem. I have also heard that about tremecs not shifting at high rpms. I have a 6200 rpm rev limit on my 331 and she shifts every time. But if you want consistant build an auto.
