Thats all you REALLY need, but in honesty.....it aint worth. Besides general rule of thumb, if oyu dont know what you need for an engine swap, then you dont posses the skills, experience, and knowledge to complete one, let alone the tools and place to do it.

and no the 4.6 really isn't any easier to swap in. modern cars do not lend themselves to swaps as easily as older carb'd cars.
too much BS and money involved only to have a car that is barely faster than it sits with the V6 in it

BTW, since when were the edge v6s .5s faster than a 5.0. If you take the best V6 time possible and the best 5.0L time possible, it's gonna be much closer to a second and some change rather than just half a second.

are you nuts? you need the whole wireing harness,radiator,guage cluster for an older V8 (4.6 cluster won't work with a 5.0), MAF. plus you have to tell your insurance company that it is now a V8 so they can adjust the premiums to V8 premiums. if you don't then it's insurance fraud and they will not cover damages in an accident. also it is illegal to put an older engine into a newer chassis as far as federal emmisions is concerned. state laws may differ and you may need to apply for a waiver sticker depending on state.

Jthorn: Evan Smith got a split port to run a 14.9, and although hes very possibly the only human being out there that can do it, it got done. Besides, 5.0L mustangs are slow stock. There, i said it.

A stock 5.0l block that is in good shape is ususally good for about 500hp. The essex block in your V6 mustang is good for about 750hp due to the dense block and thick cylinder walls. What could work out is selling the 5.0L for either V6 stuff, or a swap with someone for a modular 4.6L V8 that will go into the car 100 times easier than the 5.0L will.

its the internals you gotta worry about, but there are guys running 15, 16, and 17 psi on stock internals. 11 is safe with a tune.
