Default Throttle body opinions. Do they work?

Can someone give me the skinny on after market throttle bodies. I've heard that some have issues. Is a 62MM or 70MM worth it? What if I just went with a spacer?

My CAI and Tune will be here in a few days... but, I want more POWER

The throttle bodies on the market are not worth it for "more power" if you want more power...put on UDP, Chare Plates, exhaust, something...but the throttle bodies (only heard of one), the GT500 TB, that is worth it...

But even then, its not something you'd do for more power...they are mods that you do to compliment what you have already done, or what you are planning to do...

A CAI is good enough for basic bolt ons on the induction side...

Could you tell me what you know about UDP. I want to go that route but, have read in other tech forums that Pulleys can wreak havic on 4-valves but, haven't read anything about 3-valves. The posts mentioned that the pulleys cause a syncronization problem or something. Even though the computer tune compensates, it could eventually cause physical damage to the engine.

What have you heard, now that you have the UPD on.

+1

do the UDP and CMCV deletes, and o/r x pipe and headers. forget about the spacer, i got 1 and it does jack. with the UDP, CMCV and full exhaust u will prob see 25rwhp. now go spend some more money on modslike the rest of us.

TB spacer is useless. A larger TB on a NA motor is also close to useless. Not only will it add very VERY little if any power, but in order to run one properly you need a dyno tune. Not a Brenspeed or mail order tune. Your best bet is getting delete plates, udp, and a midpipe. There are alot of people running UDP's, I myself will be installing one sometime soon. You'll need a new tune for the delete plates. UDP and delete plates combined will give you about ~15whp.

UDP= underdrive pulleys
CMCV delete=charge motion plates w/out the restrictive butterfly control valves

together will give about 15 hp

I know you said more power but if what you're reallyafter is more performance then do gears next.
