Default Fuel Injection on an older car...

I am constantly thinking of cool projects and what I have been thinking of lately is taking a fuel injected 5.0 andplacing it in an old ford pickup. My question is this...how would I handle the ECU for the motor? Could I just take a donor fox body (or other 5.0 car) and use its motor, wiring harness, ecu, and fuel pump? If this wouldn't work, what would I need to do?

My brother-in-law has a 1964 Ford Falcon that he put a supercharged 5.0 out of a 1988 GT in. It runs like a bat out of hell! And yes, you will need to use the donor cars cpu and wiring harness. I think he bought a different fuel pump tho.
