The warranty booklet says 5 year warranty on corrosion - no mileage limit. The dealership should fix it. Print out the TSB and take it. That's what I plan to do. Mine is also under the front center lip of the hood (Satin Silver) - about 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch.

Anyone had successful repair from Ford? How long did it take? Thanks.
i went, scheduled in 5 minutes. Repaired the next week (monday) had it back in 3 days. it was also in for other work, oil change and rattle noise (the metal plate thing). It was 2 small spots on the drivers side in the middle of the frame of the car, repair was decent. I was looking hard for imperfections and there was only very minor drip marks close to where the molding is... Color match was great. But im only saying all is good so far... dont know how it will age together.

Their discription of corrosion is they must be able to stick an ice pick through it as in rust through.

There should be bubbles in your paint on your hood. Mine was at the front lip area where the hood bends toward the bumper, but I have heard others say theirs was on the hood near the windshield. Look close to make sure you see it.

Hey. I printed the TSB on this and I was working at a Ford dealer at the time and they fixed it for me, it was over 5 years and out of warranty. I got it back in 2 days, new hood and paint. They did a great job matching the paint.

That's BS. It is a problem from the factory. I had mine fixed. they replaced the hood and painted it. No charge and it was out of warranty and over 5 years. Take it to another Ford dealer.
