Modern muscle cars have zero nostalgia factor. Civics and sentras is what I'd invest in. I'm sure a prestine 95 civic with low miles will give you $$ in the open market.
Yea, you're right. Maybe even $250 LOL

Got mixed feelings about this[&:].
Rare doesn't necessarely means it will be a collector thing or more valuable.

I can think of plenty of rare cars that aren't worth squat, no matter what shape they're in.
The problem also is when you have too many variants of one samecar, it looses the appeal and exclusivity.

When it comes to Mustang... Shelby, and only Shelby is a sure investment.

didnt they stop making these? If you have the money then do it. I'd buy one of those over the Shelby GT but not the Shelby. Have you thought of a Bullitt?

+1
and Boyd was a better builder IMO.. He never did the same things over like Foose.

Yeah but Boyd was a fudge packer, sorry. Not impressed with his bodywork.
He did that yellow fastback for the TV show.
He replace half of a quarter panel instead of the whole thing at the top body line.
Doing this, is twice the amount of work and the whole thing is full of filler.
Might as well patch the panel from the begining.

Funny thing with Foose though, I've never been a fan of his wheels.
He did build a lot of different cars besides his TV show, wichdepict only one aspect of him.

Well, I have a 2008 GT vert already which I am using as a daily driver for spring/summer/fall. The new purchase will be non financed 100% cash. I'm considering the Bullitt as well since its cheaper then the Foose. The dealer seems to be firm on the 39k and I'm thinking the Bullitt will be worth more later. This second car would be driven on weekends but mostly kept as an investment, no more then a few thousand miles a year.

I might simply just keep my cash and wait another few years. Although the Bullitt seems nice.. and possibly a fun investment.

I think the Foose Stallions look awesome.
The price is a little high for what they are but they are still different then anything else.
I would buy it, since they aren't making them anymore (I think) then it might become a collectable.

So my options for a weekend driver/collector car:

New 1997 Foose - If I can talk them down to 35/36k

New 1998 Bulitt - 29/30k

Which should I go with? Try the Foose first and then if they won't deal order a Bulitt?

Again, not a daily driver car..
