i bought my 68 off of ebay... and im not sure whats missing in the drivers side door.

the window is all the way to the bottom of the door shell so i am assuming the scissors?? are missing.
i think the inside pieces for the door handles are also missing
just looking for a diagram to see exactly what is missing.

I have a "Body Assembly Manual" by Jim Osburn for my 66 that I got pretty cheap that shows mine. My shop manual also shows it.

I would asumme that from 66 to 68 they changed somethings. I could try to E Mail it to you tomorrow from work. If you still need it and want me to try let me know.

If you just bought the car I would suggestgetting a shop manual. I havn't seen any comments about them on this forum but mine is invaluable to me.

I also have the same manuals, including the shop manual. Those are necessary if you are planning to do any work yourself. The doors are probably the biggest pain I have run into so far other than running my brake lines. those were a pita.

AHA.. SHOP MANUAL, i will have to get that one.
i currently have 4 books

2 1964-1973 restoration guides by different authors.
1 mustang interior book.
1 how to paint a mustang.

but if you guys could just take a quick look at your shop manuals and let me know which pieces go inside the door that would be helpful

THANKS!!!

Can't you just look at the other door?

It is hard to tell the internals of these doors by just looking. It's hard to get a visual on the inside when the door is assembled. A manual is very helpful, especially if he didn't disassemble the door.

You need the vent wondow assembly, the rear window track, the regulator, the little short track that the back of the regulator rides in, the latch mechanism, the outter door handle w/ rods, the inner door handle actuator w/ rod, the lock w/ rod, the bumper at the bottom that keep the wondow from going down too far, inner and outter window felts, the weather stripping seal and that is about all the parts there is to that Forrest.
