I don't know much about Superchips but from what I understand SCT (who makes the X-cal) is a child company of Superchips or something like that. Personally I'm going to get an X-cal 2 which from what I've seen is like a Superchips one but cheaper I do believe and they are suposed to be out this week.

Superchips has their Microtuner (part #1755) available for shipping today. Wors on both the V6 & V8. This retails for $465.00.

Am I better off getting the SCT Xcalibrator or waiting a month or 2 for the Superchip programmer?
I have had a superchip programmer for my Ram and it was idiot proof.

Just received the superchips tuner.
Easy as hell to use.
After a short use of the vehicle my initial response was- damn! The delay (between depressing the accelerator and response) is completely gone.
Noticable difference all the way around--hard to believe at first acually.
Now for the bad---although the tuner says that it is designed for 87 octane (the software is supposed to inform you if 91 octane is required for the tuen)--I get "pinging" around 4000-5500 rpms.
Not sure if I should use what is let in the tank of the 87 and the fill-up with 91 and see if that cures the problem (not ideal--being a daily driver that will be wat too pricey).
Any one else have these issues?

The higher octane may fix your problem (with your car) Also you may be using bad gas. Valero isnt what i would call good gas. You may be paying 2 cents less per gallon at valero, buts thats because water is cheaper than gas. 10 cents more a gallon is 1.30$
