Default foxbody sbc swap

(dear god please protect me from bashers) - AMEN

ok, I'm looking for a "kit" for a sbc swap into a foxbody.

i have a really nice looking foxbody 2.3 4cyl stang. FREE! i have sbc motor sitting in shop. aside from the t-5 tranny i'm picking up with the swap, is there a place someone can point me in to finding a kit for the swap.

why? b/c the car is getting swaped one way or the other, free motor, low buck tranny. why not. dont bash me, it's not your car, it's mine. I'm just asking for help. I'm excited to swap the stang one way or the other... thanx jon

SBC in a Ford = Fail

That being said, I atleast hope you are going to be installing a LS1 or LSX in there and not the dreaded gen1 sbc.

You can buy the K member with the Chevy engine mounts from Summit racing, You can use a set of S-10 Conversion headers and a Turbo 350 transmission. Build a cheap 383 stroker with some cheap Vortec heads and a Comp XE268H Leave the hood closed at the strip and ford lovers will be all over you. I've built a few of these for the local circle track guys and they always exceed 410hp and 450lbft of torque on engines with less than 3000 dollars total in them. Throw a 150 shot on one of these and youre in the 10's. I like the keep the engine matched to the car but I've built a few cross breeds that turned out well. I had a 67 F-100 with a 500 cubic in caddilac engine and Turbo 400 transmission in it. I used it for a tow rig for my drag cars for years. It ran 13.10s on a completly stock engine. and street tires. It's your hot rod, screw the Haters. At least it isn't a toyota engine in a 67 fastback

Well, I hope parts are cheap for an engine that was around for 40+ years... that's all I'm saying, I'm done...the SBF wasn't too much newer, but hey...

I spent most of my adolescent life at the dragstrip and have seen more cars with swaps then I care to see. I am to the point now to where if you build a chevy, I want it powered by chevy and the same for the Ford and Mopar. The purist of the pure is the Mopar guys. I just don't care for it anymore, when I was a kid I thought the idea was cool. I have seen so many first gen sbc in cars it turns my stomach anymore, I'd like to see more swaps done on their newer engine lines if a car has to be hacked up. Again, this is just my 2 cents.

OK guys if you don't have anything TECH related please don't post. Whether you agree or disagree with what the OP is doing is not in question, please lets keep it on topic.
