Default Valvoline vs Mobil 1!!!

Ive noticed most people here use and recommend using Mobil 1, as of now ive been using the Valvoline VR1 oil, and i was wondering if i should stick with it, or consider changing it. If so, why!?!?

By the way, i have no mods, other than some no name weld in straight mufflers, sound cool though!!!

I use Mobil 1 Conventional Baby

no real reason to use full synthetic if you don't need to.

I didn't know Mobil 1 even produced a conventional oil. I thought they were synth exclusive. Thanks for the info AZ.

For most drivers, the Motorcraft 5w20 is fine. If you drag race regularly, want to extend drains or live in a very cold climate, maybe then a synthetic would be appropriate.

Longevity is the main factor for me in using Mobil 1. I use it in my ****-ant DD because I only log about 7500kms per year so I only change the oil once. I haven't changed it since last June and won't again until June of this year. The oil has only darkened a half shade and I haven't had to top up once. The oil costs $38 for 4L and the filter is $10. That's a small price to pay knowing that I'm doing all I can to extend the life of my motor. Again, I'm a guy that uses higher quality stuff than is required strictly for the peace of mind. Subconciously I feel the motor runs smoother as well. Why run dino when for $50 a year I can run one of the best lubricants going and be sure I'm doing one of the most basic preventative maintenace measures in the book? Synth for all my rides...

Hmm, apparently the only reason it seems you guys use mobil 1 is because its a matter of personal preference and pricing, not because its necesarely better than valvoline, guess im sticking with it then.
