Last one I used (Sunday) was a Meguiars kit I got at walmart. Had 2 clay bars, lube, and MF towel, plus some "cleaner wax" that I probably won't use. Clayed the car and put my first of about 5 coats of Klasse on it.

Im looking to do the same. Going to check out youtube for some examples. Also in reading, many say the Adams product is the best clay package.

I think I'll try the Mequires kit to. Watched some of the videos on you tube and if you take your time, doesn't look to difficult.

Once a year or so...... it makes a difference you can feel. It just takes me forever, so get started 4 hours before you have to go anywhere.

All claybar kits are about the same. But they work amazingly well at getting stuck on blemishes out of the car however it is an extremely time consuming process. If a clay bar kit can't get it out then its not coming out and you may need a paint job.

Yep, clay makes a big difference. Instead of polishing in the imperfections, you're really getting rid of everything, but the clay introduces little scratches so it's imperative that you polish and wax (maybe even seal too) after.

As you're a fussy man, I suggest you watch Larry Kosilla's /Drive Clean videos. Especially his videos on the old 912, cleaning glass and the washing basics. Hopefully I'm going to pick up a DA polisher for my big detail after the winter.... He runs AMMO NYC, and is basically the detailer to the stars.
