Default PERFORMANCE CHIP FOR FORD MUSTANG 2008 2009 2010 4.0L

I was looking around on Ebay and I found this little thing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERFO...Q5fAccessories

Does this really work? Why is this only $19.99 and claims to do sooo much for your car?

No, it really doesn't do anything for the car, it doesn't change the computer itself. It uses a resistor to trick the maf into misreading what is happening.

I think that I would rather reprogram the computer and know what is happening than try to trick the maf and hope that something gets adjusted in the process. And I highly doubt it is going to get the RWHP increase it claims.

LMAO!!!!!!

If you could increase the 4.0 motor to 275 hp and 75 mpg with a 20 dollar "chip" Ford wouldn't have spent millions to develop the 3.7 V6 replacement engine. They would just throw a magic chip on the 4.0 and call it a day.

I would bet that if anything, this so called "chip" could actually end up doing more harm to your car than good.

As far as the Mass airflow sensor goes, you have to keep in mind that you aren't changing the size of the air opening into the plenium so aren't changing the amount of air that the car takes in so aren't changing anything. It's a cheap gadget and probably one that will end up messing up your sensor or causing your car to run like crap in the process.

There are people have gone to the auto zone they have bought vendor stickers to put on that will give at least 30 extra hp Or if you add two of the chips you can 150 extra hp.

What would be a good computer/tuner to get for a 2010 V6?

Go with a reputable company for a Tuner/CAI combo.

Companies I am familiar with are American Muscle or Brenspeed.

I went with Brenspeed and love the SCT X3 with 3 custom tunes!!

The tune definitely wakes up the Stang and makes her more enjoyable to drive. Purchasing a CAI alone won't add much HP and really won't feel anything. Make sure to purchase the tuner/CAI combo!!!
