whats the rough cost to install a supercharger, i just wanna get a BALL PARK price so i know what to expect before i spend 5k on the charger. thanks.

I'm curious too. I would like to install it myself and then take it to a shop to tune it. But if they are going to charge me almost the same just for the tune I might as well have them install the dang thing.

Depends on the shop and the S/C. Most shops charge by the hour so it depends on how long it will take them to install the S/C. Some shops will include a dyno tune but others will not so you will have to call shops to find out their hourly rate and if they include the dyno tune.

I had a non-intercooled Vortech Supercharger installed. I spent $3,400 on the S/C and about another $500 on installation. It takes about 7 hours for the install if done by a shop that knows what they are doing.

Don't some S/C kits come with a custom performance chip that maps the S/C to your car?

We just installed a Vortech with the aftercooler and we charged $800.00 to install this kit plus we made a few dyno pulls. With the aftercooler you have to pull the front end off the car which adds time over the base kit but it is a awesome looking kit. It made 420hp and 380TQ and the power was still building. We made a pull up to 6400 rpm and was very happy with the power. The kit came with a predator for the tune and it could still be tweaked for more power because the A/F is a little rich and the timing was very safe. If you decide to supercharge your 05 it seems to make the power. We are in the process of working with Hellion Turbo and we are installing a turbo kit on the our 05 and can not wait to see the results.

My install cost about $850. This did not include dyno time, the blower kit and a new fuel pump.
