Underbody neon lights
#41
Hi Everyone
I finally hooked back up the lights to my new car and look what happened only one of them is working!! All my hard work of wiring it and it doesn't work...I might have touched the positive/negative wire by mistake could that be why it isn't working? I don't think that would blow the whole tube.. Or it could be that overtime the light just faded (It's been sitting for 1.5 years).
Here is it on my old mustang:

Alright well if you really want to do it, all bull****ting aside, put them kind of closer into the center so that it's not overbearing at least.
One thing that IS kinda cool is mounting lights somewhere safe on the rear axle/front steering assembly as close to the rim as possible. Gives a neat effect on SOME cars, with some rims that will reflect the light. That and maybe in the grill, but other than that I wouldn't do it. Even the mods I talked about are pretty tasteless on most vehicles.

No. You should be fine.
I have no idea why you'd want to mess up your underbody or under dash with neon lights, but you'd have to install much much much more than just lighting to put enough drain on your altenator to keep it from charging your battery.
Also remember that LED lights draw much less current than regular incandescent lighting.
Install your lighting and enjoy your new found artificial daylight.
Hope this info helps.

You guys are harsh.
We've all done things to cars that others don't like - hell, half of the people on here that capped on the OP have cars that I think look like total crap.
Let the guy be himself and do what he wants to the car. Constructive critiquing is one thing, but the elitism here is just crazy.
