Seriously: I think the question we should be asking is: "Will the EB mustang be a part of the regular line up or a specialty model?"
If it's a specialty model then i can see something along the lines of an SVO/Turbo GT being the end result. If it was meant to be said specialty car, then the engineers can just scrounge up some GT500 suspension and add it to a less powerful car. I imagine it will be marketed towards the tuner crowd, especially if it's a non-V6 CAR. Or, failing that, towards the urbanite/hipster crowd as an eco-freindly mustang. "A Mustang for everyone" type marketing campaign backing it up. Otherwise it will likely replace the 3.7 with power around 350HP while the 5.0 gets direct injection and gets bumped to 422HP. The gt500 is already set to bend the ZL1 over it's knee like a problem child so that needs no tweaking.
Unfortunately I cant see an actual turbo car ever being branded SVO again. SVO was after all, the precursor to SVT and with the Shelby branded with, SVT Ford will want to avoid confusion. That said, I think Chevy screwed up in not naming the ZL1, Z28, but I'm sure they think they have a good reason as to why they didn't.
Sadly my dreams of seeing a new Mach 1 are almost dead. Didn't Foose say something about helping Ford to design the next Mach?

isnt the 2013 gt already at 420? i could see a 4 banger eco boost but i doubt they would make it more powerful then the sixxer, after all why would anyone buy a sixxer if there was a 4 banger that made more power and came turboed? i think its a great idea since the mustang was meant to have a model for everyone since the 60's, you could order it pretty much anyway you could think of with the smallest engine being the 170 ci sixxer and going upto a 429.

I can't believe they are willing to retool and develop a 4cyl engine for the mustang when they have just come out with the 3.7, 5.0, and the latest gt500 one making like 600+hp... I think they would eco the v6 and make a specialty/intermediary between the GT and v6.
Maybe put in a fusion or econo car I4 that ford has lying around, but that still entails a good amount of work on ford's part. I'm excited though.
