Royal Purple is the biggest scam ever. They have everyone thinking their stuff is so much better than anything else. They are like Apple, they have everyone convinced they have the best stuff, when in reality its the same ****, just with a better package.

Motorcraft fluids in everything FTW. Works just as good...

I agree with Hoss, Royal Purple is way over hyped. I'm sure it's good stuff, but the advertising surrounding it is over exaggerated IMO.

I personally use Mobile 1, because it's good, cheap, and widely available. Most good oils are the same from what i've seen.

Mobil 1 is all I use. I tried the Amsoil thing, but seriously I think I just was uncomfortable with the once a year oil change. If you are willing to do the royal purple stuff why not go to the oil section and ask about the other Amsoil oils. They have some good input.

Agreed. I'll lose my mind not being able to change my oil. I love Amsoil so I bought the regular synthetic (still 7 bucks a qt) and change that every 3k. It might be a bit much, but it keeps me sane knowing my cars got good stuff in it and it's clean and changed.

I was thinking of trying that or penzoil full synthetic one day. I would read that Bobs the oil guy thing, but seriously I change every 4k with synthetic or 3 months. I guess I add in an extra 1k for the synthetic factor.
