I've got a 2002 mustang gt 4.6l. I am wondering if their is any mods I can do to clean up the engine bay and just make it look nicer, and lighten the car up also? Thanks feel free to add pictures, I learn better that way haha.

Idk about free mods really... I know a couple ones that would be your cheapest mods to make the car look better and seem better, depending if you have the tools and supplies already.

1st: Clean the engine bay up from grease. Simple Green and a hose with (sprinkler setting at the end of it) cold water. Cover all nessescary areas such as like the CAI, MAF, Electrical parts and connections and lighting spray down to get a clean finish. Let this AIR DRY before driving.

2nd: Gas peddle mod, they have a write up on it on the how to section. Costs like $2.00 at most for this mod.

3rd: Paint your calipers if you don't mind spending $10 on the paint at your autozone or auto store near you.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

Takign your EGR off will help A LOT w/ the engine bay...im doin it when i add my 6061 intake plenum to my car. Ive only heard that it makes it look better...no performance gains.

Yeah I know that, but I'm looking for all performance gains, weight loss, and better looks.

Performance gains are going to cost money, and for the most part they aren't cheap.

i always thought this way and ill share this with you and im not coming off as a dick i hope but... you get what you pay for. pay cheap, you end up with a cheap look or cheap results. if you want something worth while then you need to spend money. dont want to get something with quality results dont get it at all.

Nothing is never cheap/free if done right..

You can make a rear seat delete that will help with weight an looks..
Remove the silencer from the air intake cone an drop in a k&n filter
Remove egr
tint headlights/tails
Black on the deck panel

There a few cheap things that will help make car look good an don't cost much if u do it yourself.
