The power drivers seat on my 95 GT/Vert will not go forward or backwards, yet the up and down is operational. Any suggestions? I haven't taken the seat out (not really sure how to either), is there a cable or strap to move it forward and back?

Does the motor still sound when you use the toggle? My 94 coupe had power seats and the gears stripped out on the track so I had to pull or push the seat as I switched it just for it to budge til I got a manual track out of an 88 'vert

Theres a drill-bit type mechanism that controls the forward-backward operation. This piece often gets dirt and other crunchy things bound up in there, and then ceases to operate. A good cleaning, followed up with a grease job usually fixes it.

Check all the normal stuff first, like a fuse/relay, then you'll need to pull the seat and inspect.
