I know what exactly i have to do. i followed all the tutorials and pictures but it didn't work.

for example they said: "use a tiny screwdriver and move the clip back
towards the nose of the car while pulling on the ****. It's very tiny and
very hard to see how it works while the **** is on. It's a spring clip."


my problem is, i don't see any clip !! inside the hole there are 2 tiny metal rob crossing each other, i have a clear cartoonist picture of how it does look. i tried to pull them in ( 2gether and separately ) but i didn't work...

your moving the clip the wrong way. To release it you push the clip back towards the REAR of the car.

Done this a few times doing odometer repairs. most recently yesterday.

Yup, i've done this a ton of times in both the old 95 and 2000, exactly right small screwdriver toward the rear of the car, the **** will slip right off. Pull on the **** slightly with screwdriver inserted and push towards the rear seat, it will slide off. The rest is two small screws for the bezel(torx if im not mistaken), and two for the actual switch, unplug from wiring harness and replace.
