Default Clay bar on plastic?

I was wondering if a claybar can safely be used on platic headlights? Mine has some rtv sealant on them from being retrofited and they need to be cleaned up. Will a clay bar work?

Also, The black trim piece on my quarter window on the driver side show signs of oxidation, what would be good to take care of this?

Thanks!

I clay my headlights all the time to remove bugs / tar / ect. Have never had any problems. I don't recommend using clay on trim however.

Thanks for the input. The trim thing was just an aside really. I was just curious because my car got dinged a point by an MCA judge for this oxidation...not really sure what to do about it..lol
