Car alarm goes off every 30 minutes

Car alarm goes off every 30 minutes
Hey guys I a have a 2000 ford mustang convertible
It seems to have some sort of aftermarket alarm...with a simple 2 button remote
The problem I have is every time I set the alarm by pressing the lock button on the remote, the alarm will go off exactly every 30 minutes. It's not a one time thing...this has happened since I got the car.
The theft light on the dash always blinks even if the alarm is not set.
I know this is a common problems with certain car...I'm just curious if anyone has had this problem was able to fix it
