Default Superchsargers - new or used ?

So i am planning on supercharging my stang. Make it along 400hp range.
I really hate spending 6gran on a supercharger when my car was 6gran.
I would like to look for something used, that has maybe at most 40k miles.
Please suggest me places to look for used superchargers, which ones, is 40k miles on the supercharger a lot ?

If you suggest only new kits, please explain why besides the fact that its new...

I have no knowledge about stangs yet, but hopefully with help of you guys i will gain knowledge

I'm not sure where to find used superchargers but if anything I'd check here first in the for sale section. Also if you're looking for a cheap way to get some power you should check this article out http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...8/viewall.html it's not a supercharger but you can get the same results for your budget. It might require a little bit more work though. Also if you're getting some sort of forced induction you might want to get it dyno tuned and also you need to get wider tires and suspension work to get the most of all that power.

I see Corall has a lot of listings for superchargers might buy something from there, thanks for your input guys
I know Boost gauge is required for turboed cars because MBCs can go bad and just spike your boosts skyhigh, now i wonder if it will be a requirement for a supercharger ? I wont go more than 8-10 psi because i am going to be on stock internals, but i thought that its not controlled by a MBC, so why buy one ?
