car will not start below 50 degrees.
Hi I hope somebody can help here. My 1986 mustang has a hard time starting when it is below 50 degrees. I do have to get a new code reader so I do not know if that will help. Here is the problem when I put the key in the ignition and turn, sometimes it starts sometimes not. If I turn the key then push the clutch in then most times it will start as I push the clutch in. Everything that I can think of I have done. Battery and alternator checked\, battery checked, not loosing juice. new battery cables, new cable to starter, new starter, new solenoid, new ignition switch, new ignition, new cluch safety switch behind pedal, spliced new wires to the ignition switch, spliced new wire to solenoid, checked fuses. the only thing I did not replace is the clutch saftey switch on top of the transmission because I cannot get at it without dropping the transmission. Somebody please help I am pulling my hair out on this one.
