I have a 03 mustang, that is going to have a 95 cobra r style hood on it. I recently had an accident and my hood flew off. It completely ripped out my hinges, and Im wondering if any one here has installed hood pins in the back and front of the hood. Installing them in the front won't be a problem, but what I was wondering if anyone has installed them in the back and how they did it. If you have any thing that might help, I appreciate it. I would also appreciate it if people didnt tell me it was a stupid idea, because i pretty much have my mind set on it.

I hear most people mount an L bracket on the firewall to mount the rear pins.

There are full pin on hoods specially made for that. Most are 'off road use' only.
