I am going to get cams for my 99 gt. Probably stage one. Do I need a tune to go with it? I would also getting new exhaust. Do I need a tune for the cams? And would I feel a big difference with a tune? Oh and its my daily driver. Thanks for the help guys!

yes you should feel a decent bump in power with cams and an exhaust. maybe 20-25 rwhp. as far as tune, yeah i would to maximize the gain (adds maybe 10hp or so) and it takes the new cams into consideration. you could run into idle problems without the tune if im not mistaken

before you buy the cams make sure you won't require new springs to use the new cams and as xx10Gt said you could and I would say a fairly good chance you'd run into idle issues if not a bit of drivability issues if you don't get it tuned.

not to mention it's night and day after you've been tuned it feels like a whole new beast!

i would suggest checking out CMS cams. stage 1 or 2. they sound great and have good gains. also they are custom grinded and i heard they have great customer service.
