Hey guys I'm planning on purchasing an email tune but don't know if I would benifit if I order 3 tunes opposed to 1. I've been researching and it seems like most people just leave one tune on there cars for the most part anyway. So if I can get some pros and cons of having multiple tunes or if it's just a waste of money to have more than one tune from the same tuner that would be great. This tune is going on my daily driver with spirited driving and occasionally seeing the drag strip.

if you have an auto it is more important as the shifting aggressiveness will change depending on which tune you have. Race tunes for autos are not stop and go traffic friendly but net better results on the track. I keep one tune on mine but when I had Ba,a tunes I switched them out for going to the strip, cruising, or highway trips depending on mpg (minor 1-2 difference) or performance use.

I went with a safe performance tune and im happy with it. I have 3 tunes , 91 street, 91 performance and 93 race. i use 93 octane on the 91 tunes for extra safety..

I will continue to use the 91 performance tune with 93 octane and im happy with it. Havent tried the race tune yet, and may not.

It all depends on you really. Like mentioned before, on an auto it would be much more important because shift points and aggressiveness are set higher on more aggressive tunes. I only have one 93 tune and it's all I need because I can't see me wanting to turn it down, but I have a manual so I see little detrimental difference in daily driving.

I have 87 street, 91 performane, 91 race. Run the 91 race with no driveability issues at all, only got the 87 to be safe if ever in an area with crappy gas or no 91 available and got the 91 street only because I had a third choice. It's a manual too.

89 street, 93 performance and 93 race here. Never use the street tune unless no other fuel is available. I just switch back and forth between the other too and only run 93 octane fuel. Both are great tunes.

i had 3 from bama on my 05 v6 and tried the 91 performance for a bit then tried the 91 race and left it on that till i sold it (auto).

I now have an 06 GT (auto) and went the cheaper route as i already had a sct tuner and got 1 tune from brenspeed for 75 and haven't ever regretted not having other tunes.

I have 87, 89 and 93 octane custom tunes. I run the 89 about 99.9% of the time because it's "behavior" suits my typical style of driving.

I make sure that the tuner is in the car at all times in order to be able to change tunes at a moments notice. I used to use my Stang to travel a lot and would often put over 400 miles one way (about every 2 weeks) and also did a number of 3k-4k mile round trips. I've had at least 2 instances where nothing but 87 octane was available. Glad I had the handheld and the 87 custom tune (which still runs circles around the stock 87 tune).
