STRUT TOWER BRACE
#11
I have a strut brace on my '06 GT 'vert. I believe it does make a little difference, probably because it is a 'vert. I think cowl shake is somewhat reduced and cornering also slightly improved. Worth the $, It was to me. It didn't cost that much and it was an easy install. It also looks good. I'm satisfied.

One of the first mods I put on my car were sway bars. Made a huge difference in cornering / high speed ramps. I just put a strut tower bar on last week and I could tell the difference even on top of the sway bars. Of course, I like a car that can hold a corner so I can certainly tell. My car is really flattening out in the curves. It also looks cool. $135 for the Boss version.

Well, on my 2013 GT I recently installed a new Boss 302 brace which I got for dirt cheap at CJs Pony Parts. I also bought several different torque wrenches and socket sets from Harbor Freight for a pittance!! Anyhow, I'll never drive another sports car without the brace. It not only cuts the body roll and dive's when hard cornering, it also smooths out the ride going straight and minimizes bumps and uneven driving surfaces to a degree I would not have imagined had I not experienced it. Being made of tubular aluminum it hardly adds any weight to the front end either. Seriously the best $134 I ever spent on the car. Whichever one you choose will probably work just as good but I give them the highest recommendation I can.

A STB will mostly make a coupe feel more solid, without adding enough chassis stiffness to matter much at all. It's a structural vibrations thing, and the more solid feeling is frequently confused with gaining overall stiffness.
A more solid-feeling ride can be a good enough reason all by itself.
Yes to the idea that convertibles benefit more from this.
