Hey Everyone,

So it's been a little crazy since I have started at my new firm, but i found some time to get to work on the coupe! So far I have most of the front end out, including the engine and the transmission. My plans are to now clear out the engine bay, remove the front brake lines, etc, and then eventually the front suspension and steering assembly and then start cleaning up the metal. Please share ideas and/or suggestions on what I should do next! Also, any suggestions on a good front suspension kit is more than welcome. I'm not to savvy on front suspension and could use all the help i could get! I'm not looking for crazy expensive stuff like 3,000 dollar coil over kits, but I don't want cheap stuff either. Maybe a nice front roller/tubular set up. I'm not even sure what/where to order from.

I'll try to get more pics of the lift and the car. But this is all I have right now. If anyone can give me ideas on how to proceed from here, and what front suspension to use I'd appreciate it!

What do you guys think about the front coil-spring suspension from TCP? I've had my eye on this since it's a high quality bolt in product.

The TCP kit seems a little expensive for something that basically maintains a stock geometry, but that's just my opinion. What are your goals for the car?

Any more details/pics you can give on the lift install? What kind of setup do you have ton the garage door now? I would love to do something like this.

Looking at it from that view I totally agree. What do u think of that global west kit? Would I need anything else besides it? If you have any recommendations for a front suspension set up as far as what I'd need or brands I'm open to all suggestions. As far as goals for the car I want it to be a high performance street weekend warrior that can handle well and drag fast. Street to strip will be about 90 to 10 percent

I'll try to snap some more lift pics later this week when I'm home from travel. It's an eagle glo8000. A great lift for a great price in my opinion. I had my garage doors rerouted to open high like a shop. I'll take pics of that for u also when I get home

Sounds like you would probably be happy with just an upgraded stock suspension from opentracker. Its basically stock modified parts that work better. Roller spring perches up front and some adjustable strut rods. Roller idler arm and then you could still go with a rack and pinion steering setup if wanted.

you're right...maybe I was going too extreme with the other setups I posted since it's just a street car. I've heard nothing but good things about opentracker. They can set me up with a complete front suspension set up? I'll have to give them a call. I need everything (upper and lower control arms, strut rods, roller spring perches, springs, shocks, upgraded sway bar). I'm also debating the shelby drop. would you recommend it? I heard that the drop can pull the wheels forwards and they will not be centered in the wheel well anymore. Here are some more pictures I found on my phone...I'll upload more when I get home this weekend.

Here is my rear set up. 9" out of a 69 Mach 1. Richmond 3.70s, Ford Racing Trac Lok, Currie 31 spline axles. Leafs are 4.5 Grab a Traks, shocks are 9 way adjustable calvert racing drag shocks and the traction bars are pre-loadable cal-tracs. Awesome rear set up I'd recommend to anyone!



Quick shot of the steering set up that is going to get ripped out. What steering/tie rod etc set up would anyone recommend looking into? rack and pinion?



Torque box and frame rails...torque box will have to be re-done and I'm going to add one on the passenger side as well...frame rail is solid but is still suspect and I'm going to see if that has to be re-done as well.
