Default 1/2 second improvement

Any idea what engine modifications would be necessary to shave 1/2 second off the 0 to 60 time of a stock 99 Mustang GT? What about a full second?

The easiest way I can think of is better tires and shorter gears. Better torque converter also, if it's auto. I'd focus more on 0-100/1/4m times over 0-60. Give it too much power down low and you might even worsen your 0-60 times w/o good traction.

Either drag radials and gears, or 50 hp added to the engine, or remove 500 pounds.

You can drop a second easily with UPR Products suspension, 4.10 gears, and sticky tires. Especially if it's a manual trans.
