Default 2014 hood louvers

I just ordered a 2014 white convert GT. I would like to take out the hood louvers and have them painted black. Has anyone taken them out? Do they pop out or screw out ect ect. Thanks for any help on the matter

I'm betting they're 3m taped like the window louvers are. Fishing line would prob be your best bet.

EDIT: Read it wrong, somehow I saw door louvers.

they pop out, they aren't 3m'd on. need to remove the hood liner and such, but it's not complicated.

Carbon fiber vents would look great on white.

There is one screw securing each one, and some tabs, once you remove the liner, you remove the nut securing each side, and you need to press in the tabs while pushing upward.

I pulled mine out and Plasti-dipped them. Not a great pic, but here you go:

^ Looks good. Did you have any issues ensuring the plastidip didn't block the vent holes? I've thought about the CF ones (I currently have black) but I can't justify the cost.
