Rear View Mirror Temp Reading

Rear View Mirror Temp Reading
I installed a Gentex auto dim mirror with compass and temp display in my 07 V6 Pony Convertible. Works fine but from day 1 the temp reading has always read 6-10 degrees higher than it actually is outside. I moved the sensor from the bottom of the w/w fluid reservoir to up front behind the grille under the plastic panel cross member that holds the radiator. No change. Also changed the sensor, no change. Cant figure out why it won't read the correct temp, any ideas? Anybody know if I can adjust/calibrate the mirror to fix the high reading?

I have this mirror in two of my chevy trucks. The ambient temp sensor is what gives you the temperature reading in the mirror so if you have already replaced the sensor, I would say that the sensor is getting some additional heat from somewhere. I wouldn't put it anywhere near the radiator. I mounted the sensors to the middle of the grill in both of my trucks and my temps are pretty much right on.
