Default Engine rebuild kit- DNJ engine components?

Does anyone know anything about DNJ engine components? I might be rebuilding my son's 2002 GT and these are the only kits offered by Rock Auto. I have no experience with this manufacturer. It looks like I can get a complete rebuild kit for ~$750. We have a local community college that has an automotive tech school and they can do the machine shop work relatively inexpensively. I have quite a bit of time- have to get the engine out and disassembled and then have all the components checked out before we decide on a kit. Thanks for any replies.

Actually that doesn't look like it includes any of the upper engine components. Would be nice to find a complete kit.

We're not looking to make a race car- just returning it to stock performance levels with a focus on reliability for a daily driver.

It's an 11 bolt valve cover Romeo if that helps.

I don't know that I would mess around with a kit from Rock Auto. There is awesome aftermarket support out there for these motors. I don't know what that $750 kit includes or what exactly you are looking to replace but regardless you can build it way better for practically the same cost of OE replacement parts.

You also have the choice to totally scrap your cylinder heads and simply buy new heads. You also have the choice to totally replace your shortblock/longblock. There is a GIGANTIC new and used market out there for all of these options.

Check out vendors around the website.

A huge company that sells tons of internal kits/shortblocks/longblocks for our car is Modular Mustang Racing

I would also check out Diamond Racing.

Clevite for bearings. ARP for studs/bolts/hardware.

CP Carrillo
Shrader Performance
Manley
Fox Lake
Mod Max

The list goes on.....theres TONS.
