I had a similiar tapping noise and it ended up being low oil level. I know its sounds funny but in every ford i have had it make a tapping noise when the oil level is low.

Well it's definetly more serious that an arcing wire. Sounds like a gasket leak, but once it sounded like a couple cylinders were doing it. Are you sure you ran the wires correctly?

I'm pretty sure because the car drives fine other than the noise. I'll double check them though.

Either that or you don't have your spark plug in all the way, , , by chance you didn't cross thread it did you :/ that would be bad.

Nahhh you can change the header gasket your self man. To verify the spark plug is correct just take it out and inspect for signs of cross threading, and put it back and make sure its tight.
