Hey guys, this is probably a dumb question, but I'm still a noob at wiring. I was wondering how you guys wire up your air/fuel gauges?

my question is what sources do you guys plug your red wire into? Mine also did not come with a fuse. Also, where do you plug the white wire into for the dimming function? I am also assuming some of the other wires (black, blue, and brown) I do not need since I have a stock computer and just a bama tuning chip and not an advanced tuning system right?

All it says is for the red wire is to put it into the ignition switch..............where!? Which wire in the switch!? I'm just really confused with the red and white wire....

Look under the dash and find a red/yellow wire. There are tons of them. Those are switch 12v wires. As far as the dimmer goes does the gauge have a bulb or LED. If its an LED find the brown park light wire and tap into it. You can use the warning chime (behind the left side of center console for both of these. If the gauge has a bulb in it and you dont want it to be bright all the time youll have to pull the dimmer out and hit the (I think) blue/red wire. That wire controls the instrument cluster back lights.

Especially since a bung is going to need welded in somewhere for the sensor itself.

I wired up an AFR gauge for my track only rx-7. You'll need to weld the bung in a 9-3 o-clock position for best results, 12 o clock is optimal. put it after the header where the exhaust converges to one point preferably.

The 12v ignition switch will be the 12v that gets passed through the switch when it's in the on position. You can use a meter to find which one has 0v when the ignition is OFF and 12v when it is ON. 12v dash lighting can be hooked up to the 12v switch that gets powered when you turn your headlights on (backside of your headlight switch). You can just splice the wires in with a butt splice or solder and shrink them.

Figured it out. It works perfectly. Took a long time to do everything perfectly, but it's done. White wire to the parking lights, blue is to the computer/tuner system, brown to the positive terminal, 2 black wires to the ground, and the red wire to a line on the ignition switch that gets power once the key is turned. Done.
