Default How to open a locked trunk?

...without the key, of course. My 1965 is missing the key to the trunk. Is there any way to release the latch from inside the trunk? Thanks!

Except the gas tank on a 65 unbolts from inside the trunk. [&o] Just call a locksmith.

Sqeeze through from the rear seat, with a pair of pliers and a flashlight. Then find the arm that connects the lock, and the actuator and turn it.

OK you skinny kids. Just hope the trunk isn't full of tools and replacement parts like mine.

OK, let's assume you can get through the hole from the back seat. And, let's assume there isn't some heavy stuff in the way that won't fit through that hole so you can get a clear access to the lock mechanism. Now, once you get there with your trusty flashlight, you will be faced with this. The only possible way to get the lock to turn loose will be to take the two bolts out using a 1/2" socket. But, will that do it? Even if it did, and you managed to get the lock to turn loose, you still either have to have a locksmith make you a new key, or replace the mechanism with a new key. Why not save all that back breaking and frustrating experience, and just have a locksmith do the job from the get-go?
